This first (very rough) sketch shows the front of Nisse's home (the gnome who's home Raynor stumbles into) and the interior. 




 This (Even rougher sketch) shows the mountainside on which Nisse's dwelling abides.

Drawings

This represents the patio that the germs will interact with food on. The camera will be much closer to the ground than shown here; this is a "sketch-up." Here is my completed drawing with some attempt at creating volume and shadows:

Astronomer's Tower

The thumbnail is of the Astronomer's Tower, while the sketch is of the Tower in its context. It is a bit hard to see, but it is on the left at the end of the z-axis street (the curved piece of building before the road forks).
The town is pretty tightly woven. It is a coastal town with the sea just beyond it, and mountains are in the far distance.
I was inspired by English and Norwegian architecture and layout for the town, with also a bit of Alaskan influence.
